Payments
How can I make a payment to a Delaware state service?
Pay with Go DE has launched with a few early adopter State Organizations for a few different payment types. We’ll be enabling new payment services over the next 18 months.
Are there convenience fees for using Pay with Go DE?
Payments through Go DE do not currently incur any convenience fees whether you are using a credit or debit card or paying directly through your bank by Automated Clearing House (“ACH”).
How long does it take for a payment to be processed?
Credit and Debit card payments will generally show up within 2-4 business days to be completely processed after you make a payment. Payments made via ACH through your bank can take up to 3-5 business days to clear.
What should I do if encounter an issue processing my payment?
Take careful note of the friendly error message that Go DE provides and then double check that you've entered all your information correctly. If you are receiving an error that says “insufficient funds” then you'll want to check with your bank of credit card provider for more details. If you are convinced there is something wrong with the website, you can open a support ticket that Pay with Go DE will investigate.
Where/how will I receive confirmation of my completed payment?
Depending upon who you are paying and how, you may receive one or more confirmation notices. Confirmation notices coming from Go DE will be sent from no-reply@go.delaware.gov.
How are my payments secured?
At Go DE, we prioritize the security of your transactions. Here’s how we ensure your payments are secure:
- Encryption: We use advanced encryption technologies, such as SSL (Secure Socket Layer), to protect your financial information during transmission. This means that your sensitive data, like credit card numbers, is converted into a secure code that is unreadable to unauthorized parties.
- Compliance with Standards: We adhere to the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). This is a set of security standards designed to ensure that all companies that accept, process, store, or transmit credit card information maintain a secure environment.
- Fraud Detection Systems: Our systems continuously monitor transactions for suspicious activity. We use sophisticated algorithms and machine learning techniques to detect and prevent fraud.
- Secure Authentication: We implement strong authentication methods, such as two-factor authentication (2FA), to verify the identity of users particularly when you use our My Delaware solutions. This adds an extra layer of security beyond just a password.
- Regular Security Audits: We conduct regular security audits and assessments to identify and address potential vulnerabilities in our systems.
- Customer Education: We also believe in empowering our customers with knowledge. We provide resources and tips on how to protect your financial information and recognize phishing attempts or fraudulent activities.
- Dedicated Support Team: In case of any security concerns or incidents, our dedicated support team is available to assist you within 2 business days.
Your security is our top priority. We continually update and refine our security measures in response to evolving threats and industry best practices.
How do I save my payment information?
When you are authenticated to Pay with Go DE using your My Delaware username and password, you enable an advanced set of features on Go DE including “Saved Payment Methods” and an associated “Address Book”. Additionally, as we onboard more and more state payment services to Go DE you will begin to have access to a comprehensive database of payments you made through Go DE.
Why don’t I see options to save my payment information?
If you don’t see option to save payment information then you are making a payment to a State Organization without using your My Delaware account. This is perfectly acceptable and depending on the State Organization you are paying, may have been configured that way or the State Organization doesn’t utilize My Delaware just yet.
How do I edit my existing payment methods?
Payment methods can be deleted at any time. If you’ve found that there is a need to change an existing payment method because some of the information is no longer valid, just delete it first and then simply add it again.
Can I see my payment history?
Starting in June of 2024, you will be able to see a list of payments you made to a State Organization using Go DE provided you have a My Delaware account and have used Go DE in conjunction with that account.
